Thanks for your page "More Grammar Clues" where you turned your magnifying
glass on gerunds. I am a legal secretary who's been trying for some time to convince
my boss that is the correct way to use those "ing" forms, and now I'm vindicated.

Dear Bestwriters:Here is one copy editor who learned the hard way that everyone needs an editor.
At the very top of my own Web page, I made a blunder in punctuation, out there
for all to see! What appeared on the monitor was not what I had in mind. The fact
was, I'd made a change in the wording without paying attention to the necessary
change in punctuation.
All I can say is, Writer, get thee to an editor.
